hi,

i am trying to write apps for android phones. i am using android sdk 1.5,jdk 1.6, and
eclipse build Build id: 20090920-1017. while i have no problems with the java language and
the android architecture, i have a lot of problem getting the emulator that came with the
android plugin to work. the main problem is that it's very slow, and does not work
consistently, especially in the debug mode. so i was wondering can you debug with a real
android phone? if so, what would be a good phone to start with (i have T-Mobile)?

also, i have heard about the android dev phone 1, but it seems like that it's for people who can't get their hands on a G1 or Nexus phone. i need a phone that i can debug with and install new images of android builds.

thanks.

If you want long term android

If you want long term android upgrade, Try G2 (HTC Desire Z), N1, or the incoming Nexus S :-)
